Birdies and plaids

Spring is coming according to the calendar. The weatherman not so much, hehehe. What better way to celebrate spring than wearing some chirping birdies, they are just as cheerful as the jolly bunch sitting in the trees outside my house. :) I love to wake up to birds chattering. :)

Its the first time Im pairing bird print with plaids, seee it totally works!! :) Im ever so excited when I come up with new ways to mix clothes, Im constantly challenging myself in order to evolve/ perfect my style. :)

Playing with my full skirt, I never seem to get tired of that. ;) Sorry for being so short but Im not feelin it tonight, my head is at another place and Im really knackered. Will do better next time. :)

Summer in gingham

Hia ladies! Summer has arrived since last we spoke. :) I felt out of inspiration when I woke up today and threw on a gingham shirt dress and a cosy cardi. Red gingham being so classy and perfect for the summery vibe. :)

Ive been feeling out of sorts lately. As I went through my closet yesterday I nearly cried as I found out that most of my beloved Boden skirts dont fit me anymore *sob* :( Ive been the same size for years so this is all new to me. I really dont know that to do. Its not like Im going to loose weight again cause I need the extra pounds, but I really hate the idea of having to buy myself a new wardrobe.

I have even been browsing Ebay too see if some of my Boden skirts are available there in another size. Pretty desperate eh. ;) Oh well I know you must be thinking shut up and get on with it. :) and I will in time. :)

Outfit details:
Cardigan from White Stuff (old)
Dress from Ellos (old)
Shoes from Vagabond (old)

Baby Klara's Christening

Last Sunday we celebrated baby Klara's Christening. :) This photo is taken inside our local chapel by the baptismal font. Very proud parents alongside a smiling priest. :) It so happens that baby Klara gave him one of her beaming smiles, of course he couldnt help but to smile back at her. ;) Unfortunately we forgot to take any pics of Klara in her Christening gown (dont ask, what we were thinking of!! Im so embarrassed but we were in a hurry to get back home for the party, lamest excuse I know). Anyway we will take some pics of her later on, we still have the gown in our posession. :)

We arranged the party at our house since we only had invited our closest family members. Here is how I set the table, theme colours being purple, red and hot pink and some owls here and there. :) Im quite pleased with the end result. :) I didnt do the flower arrangements myself though. :P

I also forgot to take any pics of the many delicious cakes, I really forgot a lot that day! *blushes*. Well here is a pic of the cakeleftovers, I made the red velvet cake and the cupcakes myself. :)

The christening cake, I love the owls, its sooo darn cuuuute! :) Clearly not made by me, I ordered this cake from a professional bakery. :)

The outfit of the day. :) Of course I had to wear a dress in the theme colours purple, red and pink. :)

love the poofiness in the skirt, there is a petticoat attached, I just wanted to twirl around all day long, like a little girl. ;)

Actually this is my second dress of this kind, I bought a red one last year and have purchased another red one for this Christmas.

What Im wearing:

Dress from Ellos (recent)
Cardigan from H&M
Pumps from Geox

Oh and of course a cutie pic of baby Klara now 3,5 months old. :)

Flooofy it is :)

I feel most at home in my floofy, swirly dresses and Im only missing the apron from being 50s housewife. :) Mind you I would make a terrible housewife other than looking the part. :P My domestic skills are nothing to write home about, Im lousy at making dinner but at least I make decent cakes. ;)

I have the same dress in red as well, previously seen here. Im so glad I bought them both, Im really really fond of them and can see me wearing them lots and lots. :)

Another kitty party pooper, this time its my parents old cat which they left with us when they moved to the city. You see Im living in the same house where I grew up and the farm is my fathers but soon to be ours - me and mr. Izzywizz ( in a few months).

A close up as usual. :) Gah, I have been trying to get my hands on one of the dresses from the Missoni collaboration with Lindex but to no avail *le sigh*. I even signed up as a VIP customer, having access to the webshop at 6.pm this evening but I had to wait in que for more than 1,5 hours before I got in, and by then everything was sold out.........I have a new chance at midnight but then the shop will be open to everyone, talk about online ques then *djeeeeeeeeeeeeez* Some shops will open early tomorrow but then I will be at work......*ponders*
