An elephant touch

Yea, seems like an elephant has trashed my blog lately. ;) As you might have noticed I have been fiddling with  scary html and whatnot. Risky business Id say. :P Its a work in progress for a while yet so bear with me. :)

I have for some time now wanted to make my blog to look more izzywizz style instead of using a freebie premade template. Im soooooo passed that.....*lol*  I have decided to join an online html and CSS (dont ask) blog course. Wish me luck!

Speaking of elephants, Im actually wearing an elephant pendant necklace! :) Im a collector of animal pendant necklaces, my favourite animals being elephants and owls. :) Im really fascinated by both, so intelligent and wise animals. Watch out for more elephants and owls stomping/flying by. :)

Christening

On Sunday a fortnight ago I attended the christening to my sister's youngest child, my dearest baby niece. :) It was a rainy day so had to snap some pics indoors before we dashed off to church. This dress is a favourite of mine,simply gorgeous, nothing less. :)

My mum in her traditional Norwegian costume, holding her cute as a button granddaughter, the first one in our family, we have all fallen head over heels in love with this baby girl, fussing over her constantly. :)

I volunteered to make some cakes for the party taking place later in the day. :) I made a red velvet cake along with some pink (very) cupcakes. The frosting should have been more pastel pink but I added too much colour...ups... ;) It didnt affect the taste though, *nom nom* :P

Fashion challenge: This or That! Summer trends style

Yay! Im so excited, I just happend to stumble upon a fashion blog challenge as I was browsing through my google reader list. The challenge takes place this week with a new theme for each day. Todays (Wednesday) assignment is Tribal or Floral, not too difficult this one for a flower power lover myself. :) I chose Floral of course! :) Well without further ado, here is my contribution in all things floral. :)

This spring I have been spluring on shoes, especially in the cute pumps category. :) I prefer low-mid heel pumps as I cant walk in anything high heeled unless looking like a fool, wriggling and tripping over simultanously. :P

Shoppingspree in Denmark

Plutselig tilbake! ;) Vi hadde en strålende påskeferie i Danmark på alle vis. :) Mine beste minner er morgenturene med voffsefrøken i hyttelandsbyen hvor harene hoppet rundt i hagene, fasaner kaklet i skogen i konkurranse med hakke hakkespett om hvem som kunne lage mest lyd. ;) Det ble grytidlige morgener på meg da jeg ikke klarte å sove lengre fordi jeg frøs i hel i senga. Selv med flere lag med ull så duger det dårlig med en  tynn sommerdyne. Heretter skal soveposen være min faste følgesvenn! Det ble også tilbrakt mange timer i bil, på vei fra et bysentrum til et annet, Danmark på kryss og tvers, ganske så travelt egentlig når jeg tenker tilbake.   Jeg har vel også sett innsiden av flere butikker enn hva godt er, det var på grensen til fullt mytteri fra bil og bakkemannskapet men heldigvis hadde jeg bestukket dem med harryhandel på vår første hele dag i Danmark. Vi klarte også å pådra oss en parkeringsbot, har dere hørt om slike P-skiver????? Det ble en ekstra dyr matvarehandel på Føtex, beware!

Men på tross av alt dette så ble det da et lite shoppingutbytte på meg, to par sko, en topp, en cardigan og en kjole. Jeg kan leve med det, hehehehehe :)

Im back! :) We had a splendid Easterbreak/holiday in Denmark! My best moments from the trip were walking my dog at sunrise where the little village gardens were swarmed with wild hares doing all kinds of cute jumps, how appropriate for Easter. :) In the woods one could hear the pheasants chuckling along with woody woodpecker. :) I normally dont get up before sunrise at least not voluntarily but I couldnt sleep as I was freezing to death even in bed and covered in wollies from head to toe. Those thin summerduvets dont cut it! Next time Im bringing my sleepingbag! We did also spend way too much time in the car, driving from one city centre to the next, criss crossing all over Denmark, crazy I know. :P  I also got to see the innside of too many shops, my hubby and my brother almost made an uproar but luckily I had allready bribed them with some candy/wine/liquor shopping on our first day in Denmark. But mostly they were moping around like grumpy muppets whenever I rushed into a shop. Well I cant blame theme really, *laughs* I wouldnt be spending time shopping with me neither. :P 

But despite all this I found some lovely clothes and shoes, here goes:

Fantastic shoes from Pataugas!! I bought two of them, my favourite shoppingmoment during the trip. ;) They are very comfortable as the heel is made of rubber. Not to mention the CUTE factor! :) For you scandinavians they are available here and here.

I also scored two items on sale, a lovely soft cardigan from Palace London and a top from an Italian company.
