Missoni!

Its official, Ive been Missonized. ;) This dress is from Missonis collaboration with the Swedish clothing brand, Lindex. I have always been a fan of the fabulous zig zag pattern but could only dream of buying a statement piece from Missoni. But here I am looking a little smug in my budget but nevertheless genuine Missoni dress. :)

But boy was it hard to get hold of this dress, I first tried to buy it online but the site crashed. But to my luck my local shop opened early in the morning the next day, so I started the day by queing outside a shop at 7am. ;) Pretty desperate right? Lol. But it was totally worth it, I got my lusted after dress and a cardigan. One of the few as the collection was completely sold out in minutes. I have never done this before, a fun experience indeed. :)

A rear view, my favourite part of my body, my boooooty. :P Hehehe so much for me being shy. LoL. :) Well at least its the most curvascious part of my skinny frame, looks quite odd really. ;) Someone just glued a balloon on my backside. ;)

A member of the Norwegian royal family wore the same dress at an exhibition just two days before the collection launched.  She caused quite a stir , so me and the princess, ha! ;)

A close up of the fantastic pattern, whats not love. <3 A subdued look from what I normally wear but I love it, a classic, staplement dress.

  3. Lucky you! It looks amazing - and I so wish I could get one too! I've loved Missoni's pattern and incredible colour combinations for years! Was it Märtha louise who wore the dress, or the Crown Princess? Anyway, you certainly have the better booty! And no, it doesn't look like balloons, it looks just right, especially in this MISSONI dress!

  4. Love this dress! I don't think of neutrals when I think Missoni, but the pattern makes this stand out.

THe same thing happened here in the US last year when Missoni joined forces with Target to launch a collection - the site crashed and I couldn't buy anything :( Glad you got the dress, despite the early morning trek to the store.

    1. Thanks! Yea its was pretty wild here too, not in my local shop but in Oslo (capital) women hit and elbowed eachother at the racks....

  5. Gorgeous dress! Reminds me of the big reception of the Missoni and Target collection. People bought it all so fast and resold it on ebay for extremely high prices.

  6. WOW, really elegant, Izzy! The pattern is vivid enough that the neutral colours are perfect - still plenty dramatic, and beautifullly flattering. So glad you got one, congrats!!!

  8. You do not look like you have a balloon glued to your butt! You did make me laugh out loud. The Teen calls it the junk in the trunk, and having some is fashionable :)

Awesome dress. And smug looks very nice on you.

I found a Missoni Sport dress in a charity shop last year! It was sadly too small for me but I sold it for a good price on Ebay. I wonder if I will ever find another one...? xxxx

  17. Izzy, you look great in this dress and I cannot tell that you have a balloon behind. It looks quite tiny to me. The only piece I got of Missoni for Target was an infinity scarf. The pieces were actually rather cheaply made and not worth the money or the frenzy. Your dress does look worth the trouble to get though.
