Summer in the name of maxis

Another maxi who would have thought? ;) Its been one HOT summer beating all previous records. Never ever have we had so many days with 30 C, its like living in southern Europe I imagine. :) Even worse cause we are not used to this heat up north and swealtering away. :) Surely this weather calls for a maxi! :)

This maxi is from Boden (surprise!), the summer collection 2013. I bought it last year when I was heavily pregnant so this is the first time Im wearing it. Instant love!

Well I reckon my collection of Boden maxis will continue to grow, they are just perfect in every way. :) Im wearing a UK 8L and the length is super! :) A maxi is the perfect summer wear I think. :)

I  have to tell you my little pumpkin just turned 1 year  two weeks ago. :) I still remember the day she was born like it was yesterday. Funny that. ;)

I'll be back!

Hi ladies! Im so sorry for the current no show for months but I have some good news for you. :) I will be back at work in May and back to dressing up as well. ;) I cant wait! :) Although Im really enjoying staying at home with my little one, Im looking forward to get back in the swing of things at work. I guess being a working woman does mean a lot to me, so Ive really missed work these last months. The best of two worlds for me - having a job and having a kid/kids. :) My hubby will be a stay at home dad for three months when Im back at work. :) Yes here in Norway men are on maternity leave (paid) as well. :) One of  many perks of living in Norway. :)

Until then you might have a look at some of my latest purchases, Im all about quirky/animal prints, how have I managed this long without a whale in my wardrobe, go figure? ;)

And I cant help myself, here are some cute pics of my little babycakes ( 7,5 months). ;) <3

Baby Klara's Christening

Last Sunday we celebrated baby Klara's Christening. :) This photo is taken inside our local chapel by the baptismal font. Very proud parents alongside a smiling priest. :) It so happens that baby Klara gave him one of her beaming smiles, of course he couldnt help but to smile back at her. ;) Unfortunately we forgot to take any pics of Klara in her Christening gown (dont ask, what we were thinking of!! Im so embarrassed but we were in a hurry to get back home for the party, lamest excuse I know). Anyway we will take some pics of her later on, we still have the gown in our posession. :)

We arranged the party at our house since we only had invited our closest family members. Here is how I set the table, theme colours being purple, red and hot pink and some owls here and there. :) Im quite pleased with the end result. :) I didnt do the flower arrangements myself though. :P

I also forgot to take any pics of the many delicious cakes, I really forgot a lot that day! *blushes*. Well here is a pic of the cakeleftovers, I made the red velvet cake and the cupcakes myself. :)

The christening cake, I love the owls, its sooo darn cuuuute! :) Clearly not made by me, I ordered this cake from a professional bakery. :)

The outfit of the day. :) Of course I had to wear a dress in the theme colours purple, red and pink. :)

 love the poofiness in the skirt, there is a petticoat attached, I just wanted to twirl around all day long, like a little girl. ;)

Actually this is my second dress of this kind, I bought a red one last year and have purchased another red one for this Christmas.

Christening in red

Yesterday we attended the christening for my sister inlaw`s baby girl. I chose to sport my newest addition from Boden, this fancy red dress. :) Instant love as always, Boden hardly lets me down. <3 <3

Im currently planning for my Klara's christening which will take place in the beginning of November. Phew, my head is spinning when thinking of decorations, guess I have a lot of work cut out for me. Still a month to go luckily. :)

And of course I had to get a new dress for baby Klara. :) Come to think of it, its actually the first time she is wearing a dress. I find dresses kind of impractical before the baby can walk, so for everdaywear Im waiting for her to get older but then she will  be wearing dresses quite often I believe. :)

But of course she will be wearing dresses for special events/happenings, christening being one of them.

Hia gals! :) I have finally found time to get back into the outfit groove, hurrah! :) Im sneaking out when my little one is sound asleep during morning hours. Warning I might look a little tired though. :P
I wore this outfit yesterday when I went shopping with a friend of mine whos also on maternity leave, she`s got a little boy at the same age as my Klara. :) We brought the babies with us of course, they slept in their buggies, very convenient when shopping. ;)

Im really enjoying motherhood and staying at home, but some days its quite boring. I do really miss work and my colleagues, much more than I imagined I would. Actually I feel like my brain has shut down for time being, Im really looking forward to get back in the swing of things at work. Not to forget all the fun outfits I will put together, not much fun in sweatpants and t-shirts which Im wearing at home these days, Im a real slob. :P

My hair is getting quite long as well, havent seen the hairdresser since June I think. :P That doesnt bother me too much as Im growing my hair, I would love a longer hairdo. My hair is still quite full and thick from the pregnancy, I hope it will last forever. :)

Im sporting my new top, a french bulldog covered in sequins, how could I not buy it! :) It looks really cool and being a frenchie mum its mandatory to wear one. ;)

Meet Klara! :)

Look!! Here she is, my precious! :) She was born on the 16th of July, one week before my due date. :) I guess she didnt bother to wait any longer, hehehe. The delivery went ok I guess, blimey I havent felt pain like that before (!!!), but I feel very grateful, giving birth is such a mindblowing experience I certainly would not have missed out on.

These pics were taken when she was 6 days old, isnt she the cuuuutest ever? ;) Im head over heels in love with this little person of mine. :) Her name is Klara by the way. :) Yesterday she was 1 month old, time flies!
In terms of style Im officially a stay at home mum wearing Pjs. ;) Me and Klara actually went shopping today, so hopefully I will have my style back, dont know when yet. :P Taking care of a baby means practical wear as they tend to spill all sorts of liquids on you. :P

Im really busy these days, its hard work taking care of a baby even if she is the sweetest and calmest little person, no fuss really. :) But Im dead beat tired from having to wake up a couple of times during the night, thats the hard part, not getting enough sleep. So I guess I should be off for a quick nap before Klara wakes up. See you laters ladies!

Hello there! I guess you may want to know who is hanging out in my belly? :)

And I couldnt be happier!!! <3 <3 <3 We have already found a name for her, gonna name her after my beloved grandmother. :)
Im so sorry for being absent these past weeks, Ive been feeling out of sorts due to a heavy cold and lack of energy, feeling tired all the time, pregnancy related. Im 19 weeks now and boy have my bump increased in size!!! Im really starting to show no doubt! I have been taking photos of my latest outfits, gonna post them later.
My little peanut has also started to let me know of her presence, she is giving me gentle nudges at all times now and sometimes it feels like she is throwing a party or something. :) Its the best feeling in the world!! :)

Needless to say I have been on a crazy baby girl clothing shopping spree, oh how I love to buy those cuuuuuuute pink clothes! :) But it has to be bright pink not pastel pink, thats not my style. :) Poor baby girl, like mother like daughter, hehehee. :)

Im back with a bump! :)

Hi there ladies! :) Missed me? :P As many of you have already guessed, yes Im with child! :)
Its been a rough couple of months, the bump has been giving me a hard time, Ive suffered from terrible morning sickness, not only in the mornings but more like 24/7. Luckily Im doing better now, Im feeling sick from time to time but at least Im back at work and Im able to get out of the house. Best of all Im able to sit in front of the computer without feeling sick, yay! :) The baby is doing fine though, I had an ultrasound scan this week  (Im 3 months pregnant) and the little one seemed to have a lot of fun swimming around in my womb, it was really emotional to watch. :) The baby is due in mid-late July, I dont have the exact date yet neither do I know the sex but will tell you as soon as I know. :) Well enough pregzilla talk. ;)

Im really sorry for not being able to take any pics during December, I would have shown you some beautiful winter images. We got literally flooded by snow, 70cm, a new record for where we live. :) I do however managed to snap a photo of my car just to show you how bad it was. I had to park my car at the nearest parking lot which meant outside a church, cause we werent able to drive to our house due to the massive amount of snow. Our house is situated on top of a hill and the last part of the road is quite steep, the cars stood no chance against the snow. My hubby had to dig out the car for me. :) Alas all the snow was gone at Christmas, typical. :(

Well time for some fashion talk, this is after all a style blog. ;) Well I havent felt up to my usual shopping mood but I have managed to snag some lovely Boden dresses on sale. But Im really excited to tell you that Ive got my hands on a pair of amazing Fluevogs, can you belive it!!! :) Im over the moon of excitement really!! Finally I can join you Fluevog fans! I havent received the the shoes yet but fingers crossed they will fit, I bought my regular size (US8-EU38) A total bargain as they were 70 % OFF!

Sooo cute and I dont have any turqoise ancle bootsies. :)

Well thats all for now, I dont know when I will get back to my regular posting scheme, still not feeling 100% but getting there. :) But I will try to post from time to time. :)
